REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced on Monday that head coach Craig Dickenson will not have his contract renewed. Vice president of football operations and general manager Jeremy O’Day has agreed to a new contract.

I doubt it. Dave & Huff are pretty much a team. Squeaking into the playoffs probably put an end to that speculation.

To me, the number 1 candidate for their-Riders- future Head Coach is Jordan Maksymic, Offensive Coordinator of the BC Lions.

I fail to understand how you can blame whats happened on the coach.
Two years where you lose 7 strait to end the season and miss the playoffs is as much on the GM as the coaching.
With a fan base that’s already not happy with the teams direction it seems a risky move at best.

O’Day survived the purge? But he’s the GM who picked the coach who just got canned… and wasn’t it O’Day who also picked the talent year after year which ultimately led to Dickenson’s demise? How does a GM who failed to address the same weaknesses year after year get to stay in charge of this franchise? When does this guy run out of scapegoats to blame for his own incompetence?
It’s a bad day for Saskatchewan fans PorkyPine and Cody Fajardo must be spitting up his taco flavored Slurpy right now.
