How bad is it when a guy from your hometown team shows up #2 in tackles and you have no idea what position he plays?
Well done to DT Mathew Thomas, 7 tackles in a game for a D-Lineman is well done.
The same to Jake Ceresna, number 4 on the Sack list despite having played less games than anyone else on that list....

With Peters and Carnell, Toronto's secondary is getting dangerous good.

Sask, Hamilton and Ottawa have players who are at or near the top of these lists. Winnipeg players barely crack the middle. I guess we're doing something wrong.
The clear message to the teams that have losing records is DON'T copy what the top team in the league is doing with their defence. Your stats will suffer.

Heh, yeah one of the reasons some players have high tackle stats is that their team is often on D because A. their offense sucks and/or B. they can't make tackles until after the other team gets their first downs.

That's very true. Getting a top ranking for that deficiency is a wee bit misleading... but I really shouldn't complain.
Tackles are great for D-linemen (usually for no gain or loss because of where they are on the field). Also great for linebackers, since it typically means they are limiting gains on the ground or the short-yardage passing game.
Tackles are not so great for defensive backs, where it usually means you tackled your receiver after he successfully caught the ball. Wes Sutton leading the Als in tackles is thus not a great reflection on our team.

3DN is touting Lemon for MODP.
Rodney Dangerfield was one of the most successful stand-up comedians of all time and the theme that ran throughout his career was that he got “no respect.” There isn’t a better impersonator of Rodney Dangerfield in the CFL than Calgary Stampeders...
Est. reading time: 4 minutes
There are certainly some other names deserving of consideration, though: Wynton McManis, Cameron Judge, Jamal Peters, to name a few.

Capital_Dave:
3DN is touting Lemon for MODP.
There are certainly some other names deserving of consideration, though: Wynton McManis, Cameron Judge, Jamal Peters, to name a few.
i would pick McManis and Judge over Lemon.
As would I. Let's see how serious his injury is, though.

Yes true there are others but think of Lemon as he has played for a few more years then the others and he only gets better.

INTs
Here's another name to consider:
His stats line doesn't jump off the page, but for a DB that can be a good thing.

I said earlier this season that he is the league’s premiere shut down DB. Teams just do not throw his way. A worthy candidate but I doubt he will get serious consideration given his lack of eye popping stats. He could start for any team in the league and am a bit surprised he isn’t in the NFL.
