Dedrick Mills hat trick powers Stampeders past Tiger-Cats

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders kicked off their 2025 campaign in style on Saturday night, seeing off the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium. Vernon Adams Jr. wasn’t made to do it all in his Calgary debut, with running back Dedrick Mills putting up a hat trick of touchdowns to push the Stamps to a 38-26 season-opening victory.

It looks like deja vu for the Cats. I have no idea what they can do to get the football going in their favour. :grimacing:

I was at the Game today. Ticats Defense looks like it is really missing Chris Jones at the helm of the Defense. Ticats Special Team mistakes gave away 14 points. Offense is really missing Butler as Bell was a non-factor at running back. Coach Scott Milanovich has to get to the bottom of Bo’s inaccurate passing, otherwise, the 2nd string accurate passer Powell will have to promoted to 1st Team Starter. Living out west, I was lucky enough to see 4 Ticat Games in person in 2024, and saw all the rest of the Ticat games on TSN. This Ticat Team has regressed from the team I saw play in 2024. Right now I have serious doubts that this team I love will even win a game in 2025. But, I have watched 65 years of Ticat football and seen many poor seasons, but I know that just a half dozen better players, added to the Team mid-season can turn things around to make the playoffs. Right now we need Ticats Player Scouts to shift to Overdrive because only a Massive Airlift of NEW players with save this 2025 Ticat Team…..
