Dava Stala's TD celebration getting some exposure via Yahoo!

One of their football sports bloggers ran an entry about it and its made the Yahoo.com homepage for now

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdo ... nfl-260435

Thought Ticat fans would appreciate seeing it 8)

Kornheiser and Wilbon were talking about it the other day on PTI.

Tony Kornheiser referred to him as "Dave" :stuck_out_tongue:

i saw that and thought it was jokes.
Wilbon loved the celebration by the way.

And that seems to be one of the reasons the YouTube video of Stala has been viewed over 228,000 times. Yes, it has been viewed that many times, as you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmHTG5H_OgQ

I thought the “Duck, Duck, Goose” celebration at IWS, which coincidentally also occurred after a Kevin Glenn pass was viewed many times, but it has only been viewed about 130,000 times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aavPl9AfqE

One of my co-workers came over and said that she was watching CNN Headline news on Sunday morning and it was on there.

The Stala vid is now well over 600,000 views. 540 comments also.

Yeah, i saw them talking about it on Pardon The Intereption too,

That's US tv exposure.

 • it was a AWESOME td celebration by dave Stala, that was so great.

The exposure is great but did you read some of the NFL yahoos complaining about the size of the end zone and the placement of the goal posts?
Some of the rebuttals by the CFL fans were great though.

I don’t usually read comments posted to YouTube videos, as most of them are very unintelligent. But I did see some discussion of CFL rules by some south of the border. Some commented on receivers being allowed to start their routes from behind the line of scrimmage before the snap. And some did like how in the CFL, they let the players have some fun like this without a flag being thrown.

If I’m not mistaken, this game was broadcast on the NFL Network. Could that be a reason it’s getting this much exposure?

In any case, the video has been viewed over 768,000 times now, as it has even been embedded on this French website: http://www.lequipemag.fr/EquipeMag/Repo … 11009.html

Congratulations to that Cathedral High School graduate. You’re a YouTube star!

dont think the ticats/sask game was on nfl network last week. dont think any game was actually.

last game broadcast on the nfl network was wpg vs edmonton.

It was, I remember checking my guide while watching the game, BUT I watched on TSN-HD since I dont get NFL-HD. Here`s the schedule for the games that will be aired on NFL network. http://www.cfl.ca/page/u-s-broadcast-webcast

The announcers also acknowledged the NFL network viewers during the broadcast itself.

It was broadcasted on NFL Network, i remember seeing commercials all week for it, and it was even scheduled on my tv guide.

This is week is the first week of the season that the NFL Network won’t be showing a CFL game.

That video is up to 900,000 views now as it continues to go viral.

It has been embedded in this Spanish website here: http://espanol.sports.yahoo.com/columna … s-590.html

Here is a quote form it:

And here is a quote from the French website I mentioned earlier:

Dave Stala, le joueur professionnel des Hamilton Tiger-cats (Ligue canadienne de football américain) a sa manière bien à lui de célébrer son touchdown. Alors certes, on a déjà vu plus chorégraphié mais écoutez le petit clin d'oeil du commentateur à la fin de la séquence (en anglais)...
They acknowledged what was said by Rod Black about France's soccer team. :)

One of the commenters at that French link suggested Stala was too talented to fit in on their team.
