Dana Segin

Here’s a name from the past. Segin may be filling in for Prefontaine.

This part of the article seems almost surreal. I remember the game, yet the whole idea of us beating Montreal in this fashion sounds so foreign right now.

In 2002, he was summoned from the stands of Ivor Wynne Stadium to serve as an emergency replacement for injured Ticats kicker Paul Osbaldiston.

Segin was more than up to the task that day, making field goals from 22, 12, 27, 22 and 20 yards to lead the Ticats to a 29-26 win over the Montreal Alouettes.

Look at his range, even Boreham cant do that lol.

I remember that game when Dana Segin got his 15 minutes of fame. I'm quite sure he did not miss any field goal attempts, although he did not have to attempt any from very far out.

In fact Bill Szijarto, this year's kick for a million contestant, kicked field goals from 20 and 30 yards. And Prefontaine missed one tonight that I think was within Szijarto's range. I'm not saying the blue team could have brought him in, though. Besides, they would have lost anyway.
