People have talked about the team's D-line woes, and they were on display last night. The injury to Steele was a big deal, but it also highlighted the importance of injuries to key players, and the significance of some of the acquisitions the team has made to try to bolster the line.
Bruce Davis and Torrey Davis were both out due to injury on Friday, but when they are both playing, this is a completely difference defense. The difference in run stopping and QB pressure is night and day. More depth is needed, but I think the difference when those guys are in is an indicator that our defensive problems are more about personnel than schemes.
Probably correct, it’s the players who make the plays, not the coaches. It would be great to see all the starters back healthy for the few remaining games.
It is certainly is the players and the schemes are normally used by all the other teams. What is frustrating about George Cortez is his inability to adjust the import non- import ratio for each game. And most importantly during the games. Sitting Colbourne, Tisdale over Hinds, Fortin over Pugese and keeping Bruce Davis on the injury list is absolutley stupid. Another fine example is sitting Stala and playing Gregure. Untill Grigure shows some interest I would sit him down. I have said this before and I will say it again Georger Cortez is not capable evaluating talent and is unable to figure out the ratio numbers and this is two of the main reasons this teams is going no where.
Ham's DBacks looked absolutely and totally bad against Ed. Joesph moved his team down the field with little or no problem against Hams grossly bad defense. Somethings very wrong when Joesph looked better than AC. I'm wondering if some of these player don't want to be in the playoff's. Creehan should definitely answer for this. :thdn:
disciplineand punish......... I didn't realize this forum was about "spelling" I beleive there is much more to discuss and concentrate on other than a fans spelling.
Sloppy spelling = sloppy thinking, unless English isn’t your first language. If English isn’t your first language, I apologize. If it is, though, the least you can do when discussing (and trashing) a player on your team is to spell his name correctly. Or at least get within striking distance of spelling his name correctly. How on earth do you get “Grigure” from “Giguere”?
I am not a Creehan hater, just someone who recognizes when a coach is incompetent, over his head, and has lost the team. Loads of Creehan scheme errors and disorganization, shouting matches etc have been set out by many on the forum this year. The last two examples of a touchdown scored on us do not in any way show the players as being less talented, instead it shows a disfunctional defensive unit from the coach and organization/scheme aspect
Matt Carter TD last game. D Webb tried to call a timeout and get players to move to the position but the set up was a defensive scheme set up that was just wrong.
Recent game, we get scored on, also in a similar area, around the ten yard line in, this time we have 14 men on the field, 13 in the play an the 14th trying to get off. How is this the fault of players?

Disciplineandpunish..........You have no right to insinuate sloppy spelling equates to sloppy thinking or asking what my first language may be. I don't recall requesting to have an interview with you. My opinions are my own and this is in no way "trashing" anyone other than my direct observations. If anyone is trashing someone, you are trashing me and I take offence to your tone and your level of committment to follow the rules of conduct on this board. You need to check yourself my friend and apologize. I guess in your mind I have been disciplined and punished.
