Darnell Sankey knows what it’s like to win as an underdog. He did it just five months ago, albeit in a different league.
Lemon & Sankey were both big pickups by the Als. Both I think were also on the Bombers radar, sure could use Sankey now…
Because of the ownership problem at the beginning of the year, to go after these two all stars Montreal was the only team that had enough salary cap to be able to afford these 2 all stars
Good point. We don’t know that for sure but it’s quite possible that they were in the best cap position of the contending teams and could pay these guys more.
Perhaps, but we had to cut Nick Usher to sign Lemon and we had an absurd number of players on the 6-game injury list this year. That’s likely what freed up the cap space to get Sankey.
Usher was a problem in the locker room.
This was similar to us, and why we might have had cap room - if the price was right.
Most Bomber fans were wanting DLine help 1/3 into the season, imagine a 3 headed monster of Lemon & the Jeffs 
Sankey would have been a tougher add, doubt he plays SAM.
No evidence to suggest that at all. He just wasn’t producing at defensive end.
And Lemon and Sankey probably signed for less later in the year than what they would have agreed to earlier in the season. It all worked out well for the Als
Sankey also brings an edge to his game. Remember the body slam he gave to O’Connor last year. We can’t afford to have him do that to our QB. Can’t give him a free lane to Zach.
Darnell Sankey will eventually get to Zach Collaros but it’ll be his undoing. Zack just finished watching that five minute Karate video I sent him and he’s ready to bring the pain. Poor Sankey won’t know what hit him.
