Good questions all of them. Considering Harris never hit 1500 & only Cornish had a higher total - once, I don’t see Brady doing it again. I expect he will have a VG season but Streveler likely figures to be running the ball on option plays as well He’ll break 1,000 but that was a one off IMO. I saw on the transactions wire that Neufeld is listed as retired by the Bombers. If that is so, with Hardrick gone & Gray - & Bryant not getting any younger, it will be interesting to see how the suddenly rebuilt Bomber OL will affect the run & pass game.
Leake apparently has been used @ RB in camp as well I am told. Deontez may be the fastest guy on the team. So ST’s this year may be interesting in Edmonton. When was the last time that could be said about the Elks.
Trevor has missed a lot of time the past 4 seasons & isn’t getting any younger. He’s a big key in Regina so I’m as curious as anyone how that will pan out.
Demerio Houston is grossly over rated. For every pick, he gave up twice as many touchdowns. Always late to the party. Just watch Calgary fans.
Oliviera probably won’t match last year, but he will be a significant factor in the Bomber offence.
I too, didn’t see anything in Houston’s game that made me think someone was going to offer him such a huge contract. I’d suggest that the Blue Bombers are better off without Demerio (with regards to play and contract) Having said this, I’m sure the Stampeders feel he is a big upgrade and who knows, perhaps he will have a great season. I’m just not so sure. Go Bombers
On the radio yesterday O’Shea provided some further info on the Bomber injuries, which include stars like Demski and Schoen not participating in camp as of yet.
Basically he said that there is nothing to see there. He also said that he expects Bighill back well before 6 games and that he may only miss the opener or one more. He also indicated that the injury to starting corner Jamal Parker is more serious and that he expects that he will miss more than 6 games.
I also agree that Houston sucks. Ask the Als how they won the Grey Cup in the dying minutes. Nichols can’t cover everyone.
The Riders will have to start fresh this season. Harris can put up big numbers if they can keep him comfortable in the pocket. Acquiring a top tier running back will help, but the offensive backfield is very dependent on their O-line.
The defensive secondary was an embarassment last year, and I am looking forward to seeing a complete rebuild this season. The D-line and linebackers will have to gel quickly with the new guys with the loss of seasoned vets.
I am curious to see how Ottawa builds its offence this year after an impressive show by crumb.
I have always respected Bo, but I feel that his retirement in Hamilton may be creeping closer.
Montreal finished strong, we’ll see if they can do it again.
Toronto… is a mess.
