Costabile: 8 players to watch on OK Tire Labour Day Weekend

There’s just one day to go until OK Tire Labour Day Weekend gets underway.

Labour Day Weekend may signal the unofficial end of summer but around the CFL, things are just starting to heat up.

It’s not Mitchel that should get the write-up : it’s chad Kelly. He is going to be a formidable pivot and will probably end up being the best by the end of the year.

Genius 1, just like he was in last years semi-finals ???

The ARgos were way over-confident last time. The tides will turn this year.

I hope that Kelly lives up to the hype but I have reservations. He’s fun to watch, handles the ball competently and passes with precision. Will he eclipse Rourke as the season heads to the playoffs? That is to be seen. If Rourke regains his 2022 form, then I don’t think Kelly can match the BC QB. So many ‘ifs’. I predict both will excel in the upcoming games. Good for the league.

This Curtis guy has turned into a very good find for Edmonton.

Not bad a for a Canadian…and he has had more opportunity to show his skills since Acheampong went out with a knee problem in Ottawa.

Oh, Kelly is getting lots of write up, but not for on-field stuff

Regardless of how well Kelly does he will still be a douchebag.
