Cornish, MOP and finest Canadian player, way to go bro....
Cox, MODP, awesome job, warrior...
LaBatte, MOOP (tough acronym) for a tough player, congrats...
Paredes, MOSP, rock solid point specialist...
5 out of 6 of the winners were a non-import [raised in Quebec and played his football in the CIS] and 4 awards to Canadian born players [Cornish , got 2].
This is the first time in CFL history that many Canadian players have won that many awards in one year.
It was also the first time that a center won MOR , ever.
The only real surprise, was that Gable didn't win in the rookie category, although the voting was a close 26 to 24 votes.Oh well, congrats to Jones,we'll let him have the award, our reward will come on Sunday. :cowboy:
I thought Cornish was a Kansas Jayhawk, trained in the NCAA not the CIS?
Only the second time in 40 YEARS that a Canadian has won the top player in the Canadian Football League, is that proof that the ratio is successful or is it proof that it’s a failure? At least we guarantee that a non-import will win the Canadian player award.
5 out of the 6 awards this year were won by non-imports.
However , most of us do agree that you are a Canadian culture hating JERK
Since you are so unhappy here , why not do us all a favour and move to the U.S.A.
I think that you would be a lot happier there.
