Complain to London Drugs and Baffin Boots

I can see this trend getting out of hand soon enough.

I’d venture to suggest that rather than closing the thread the proper response would be to delete the misinformation and issue a warning to the poster responsible.

Back to the photos I posted

If a Canadian Geographic magazine can jump through Quebec hoops and include Quebec, there is no reason that London Drugs and Baffin cannot

Agreed … but they choose not to and believe me they have a far better idea what, if any, impact it has on their business … especially London Drugs with their 0 stores in the province.

Hey Porky. you say this is “beyond your expertise”, but you still blame Québec’s government.
Do you care to explain that divide?

What do you think it would cost them that it would have such an impact?

Yet you still say its beyond your knowledge

It would cost them a tiny amount. This is just another another way to exclude Québec. Bigotry at its worst.
There is a reason in Québec we talk about “Les deux solitudes”.
I also do not need to read the bigoted views of a self loathing frenchman who is formerly from Québec. A traitor to his own kind.

So little that only a few sales of boots would cost them more than the entry fee

My point is that you admit to having little to no knowledge on the subject yet have decided who is right and who is wrong

With ZERO stores in Quebec there is absolutely no reason for London Drugs to spend a single nickel to be able to have Quebec residents eligible.

How about because it is a “CFL” contest? AS far as I know, Québec is in Canada and the Alouettes play in the CFL.
If the Alouettes started a CFL contest only open to Québec, there would be a shit storm 10 000 times what this one is.

So Quebecers never leave Quebec…never shop outside the province?
Do you know who owns them…who they own?

What about baffin? They sell in Quebec

Do you know who owns them?

Again…do you know how little it would cost? Maybe fans outside Quebec will be disgusted and also stop buying…

I just wrote to the Alouettes on the french website, inviting them to read this thread (I also go into details in case the thread is deleted).
I expect an answer.

I expect that would be the result.

Québecers also order online from Canadian stores and companies.
Our money is good, we as a people just are not…
Amazon Canada found a way to do business in Québec. Many other NON Canadian companies have.

Excellent point, I did not think of that

Amazon did it because it is worth their while financially to do so … London Drugs won’t because it isn’t … very simple.

You make that statement without knowing how much it would cost them.
And you continue to ignore Baffin boots, why is that?

Given that this thread is becoming hostile, and is now only minimally related to the Alouettes, I’m shutting it down. Those who wish to discuss this further can take it to the Lounge.
