Gotta love the preparation in these practices. Receivers coach Clyde Christensen chewed up Canadian receiver Sam Giguere when the rookie from Quebec juggled a pass twice before pulling it in during a drill. "Catch the ball clean!" the coach shouted.

Seem he made nice catch Yesterday in Practice.

It came during Saturday morning's light workout and showcased quarterback Jared Lorenzen's touch. He dropped back in the pocket, looked to his left and flicked a left-handed pass along the sideline that free agent rookie wide receiver Sam Giguere pulled in despite adequate coverage.

He would start for us as soon as he shows what he can do (while in a game)

and for those of you who haven't seen Giguere....The guy is a beast, he will have some of the biggest arms and the field + he is fast + he has great hands.

He most likely wouldn’t. He’d just join a long list of talented young receivers who Charlie is afraid to play.

Bauman showed what he can do but still doesn’t start.

The problem is Charlie’s offence has way too many option routes and is not a friendly offence for rookies to understand. He needs to just simplify it and give guys clear precise routes to run so they don’t have to think.

I have to agree with you on his physical attributes, but there are questions about his hands. He dropped two out of three passes thrown to him during the Shriners game. Hope he holds on to everything they throw his way tonight.

we wont see very much of giguere because he is listed as the very last reciever on the Depth Chart.

lets hope Jim Sorgi isn't in there at QB when Sam is in. (Sorgi is pretty bad) it will most likely be Jared Lorenzen though

Besides # 14 Giguere, Argo draft choices OT #76 Dan Federkeil and RB # 30 Clifton Dawson should also get some playing time for the Colts. We might be seeing one of these guys (probably Dawson) playing soon in the the CFL.

Remember Lumsden wasn't allowed to play in the NFL preseason too, despite dressing for several exhibition games.

Translation: Giguere will be a Ticat by Labour Day.
