Big log jam in the CFL West Division for first place standing as Winnipeg, BC, Edmonton, Calgary ascending to the top in a dog fight for a playoff spot while the sask roughriders flounder in bewilderment to a 5 game winless slide (is Cory Mace DeVone Claybrook 2.0?). A very Interesting second half to the 2024 season starting up.
Lions have lost 4 in a row, Stampeders of lost 3 of the last 4, Riders are winless in 5. Seems to me only of those teams is “ascending”…

After Bombers score there were 19 sec left. They could have started at the 40, instead they run it back to the 30 with 13 secs left. Then Mitchell throws a 6 yd pass and leaves enough time for one more play. Poor coaching and play calling.
I agree. I couldn’t believe he threw a checkdown pass. Throw it deep and hope for a PI. Nothing is working for anyone, top to bottom, on this team
The Elks looking better of late but they are still at the bottom…and not likely to challenge for the top, at least not this year. Still, that is quite the parity in the West and to see the East as the Beast so far is unusual.
Just to clarify, they couldn’t have taken the ball at the 40. There is always a kickoff after a TD and even if the Bombers had only scored a field goal, in the last 3 minutes a kickoff is mandatory. Hamilton had no choice but to run back the kickoff. They did have the choice not to throw a 5 yard dink pass with 13 seconds left.

Pretty hard not to ascend when you lost four in a row? Love the picture on TSN last night of the mighty bomber fans praying that they’ll beat a 2-8 team in the dying seconds. Lol Bombers are garbage. BC will eventually get it together and will be the team to beat. PS that non-call on defensive pi was an embarrassment to the league.
