lol every player says this after being benched or suspended or penalized. so scripted.
those are growth hormones btw. dude is 33 and probably been doing them at least off and on for awhile. they use that stuff for people with stunted growth disorders. he’s not a small guy at 6’5” 300 lbs, but also not huge by OL standards, so pressure to get bigger and stay bigger is there.

GHRP-2 is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue that binds to the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor. It has been shown in research trials to improve muscle growth, regulate the immune system, and improve sleep cycles. GHRP-2 research has shown that it has oral bio-activity.
It certainly didn't help his sleep cycle . Kelly has too many offside/procedure calls playing RT . The growth hormone didn't help his slow feet either . Kelly is a free agent who should be set free .

Certainly a bad time for a pending free agent's positive drug test results to, finally, come in.
Yeah, thought that was very strange timing myself. Didn’t think they tested in the off season. If there was a backlog at the lab, expect a few more of these to be announced.
As for Kelly, didn’t expect him to be re- signed, though he did help stabilize the line while we were going through injury and personnel issues last year. Brandon Kemp is a bit younger and cheaper option, if they stay American at right tackle, or they could try Saxelid there. Can’t see CVZ coming back.

Was he RT Kelly or LT Kelly?
Players can actually be tested year round.
As as TiCat, he started 3 games on the left, and followed with a dozen starts, including the playoff, on the right.

Interesting, wasn’t aware of that. Figured the logistics and cost would be over the top for the CFL.
The testing is random, I presume like the selection of a photo to top the cfl.ca page on the league's drug policy. Really! They could've / should've put pictures, of all those suspended, in a hat and and pulled one, randomly.

As much as I criticized the O-line the last two seasons, the addition of Beard at Centre certainly seemed to help. With him, Revenberg, and Woodmansey, we have a very good interior line. Saxelid -could- take over for CVZ at RT, and the team simply has to find another stud LT - which seems to be the issue every season...
And, of course, draft the best OL players you can...

Tyrone Riley did a decent job coming in at LT replacing Vornkahl last year. We’ll see if he can keep up the progress coming out of camp. They will be bringing in other guys whether they re- sign Kelly and Van Zeyl or not.

Beard being there from the start of camp will help. be thankful the ticats don’t have the riders’ OL issues.
