Please forgive my ignorance, but in the click clack underarmour commercial, are all those buff looking studs who are practicing on the field in their under armour actual pro football players (in the nfl i would assume), or are they actors? Sorry my idolitry of pro athletes isn't what it used to be, and I very seldomly recognize pro players with their helmets off.
I agree, this commercial is very inane. What's worse, I think "click clack" has given us this year's answer to the most annoying commercial ever seen on a CFL broadcast...
No worst ever is doing a Forums version of that commercial, utilizing a certain Aussie-cum-American poster: “And so he spams… spams… spams… spams…”
(And yes, I do realise I’m spending WAY too much time here to make such an analogy)
Worst commercial, by far, is the MADD public service announcment with the baby crying, it has been played over and over and over, I thought it was off the air for good, but its back. They need to come up with something else to get their point across.
Oh God, I absolutely deteste that commercial. Hearing that baby wail endlessly is about as irritating as hearing a rusty nail scrape across the chalkboard in jm's classroom.
I heard that actually those CLICK CLACK retards are NFL rookies. I am not sure tho, i think one is AJ Hawk, green bays rookie LB. i could be horribly wrong tho lol...
The worst part of those Rona commercials is that last year they had some that were some of my faves when watching CFL. You know, the ones last year there the unhandy guy would be holding the power tool, and then he’s psych himself out by thinking of how the home improvement could go horribly wrong, like that guy with the nail gun accidentally shooting it in his big fish aquarium and flooding his living room. Talk about first to worst, kinda like the Eskies this year!
guess what. you supposed to be irritated. A baby’s cry that cannot be soothed by mother is the worst sound the there is. You supposed to not like hearing it. You supposed to get the message that it is a sound that no one should hear. I think it is really sad that anyone would have a problem with such a well intentioned and important commercial. I cant help but imagined teen punks snearing at that commercial as they go out to do some street racing with a bottle of beer in each hand.
Im not sure if you know this or not, FYB, but MADD wanted to use the accident that killed Princess Diana as a commercial against drinking and driving!!! Talk about a cheap way of exploiting someone’s death! MADD is a great cause, but someone there needs to get their priorities straight. The message is one we should all heed, but the commercial itself is annoying as hell. Its time for them to come up with different ways to get the message across-- they have played that particular commercial so much that I know believe its ineffective. I would so far as to say its exploitation of the baby, just as using Diana’s death to promote sober driving-- there were many other factors involved in that accident that killed Diana-- so for MADD to come up with an idea like that is repulsive to me. Too many people are using her death to further their own cause–let her rest in peace already!!!
I'm not sure about all the guys on the underarmour commercials.. but the one main guy that was in those commercials last year was an undrafted LB trying to get into the NFL.. course that's before "Click Clack" became the motto and I don't know if he's in these commercials or not. Or if he made it or not.
nothing wrong with wanting to use her accident if there was proof that drunk driving was the root and main cause. Just the same as with any other accident they might use. People need wake up calls and whatever and whoever it takes. However, there are so many who will not pay attention no matter what the message, who the messenger is, or how the message is presented.
“let ___ rest in peace” No offense meant, but that is one of the more inane expressions. Dead is dead, whether you beleive in afterlife or not. Either way, nothing that continues to happen in this life has any effect on how you “rest”. I can assure you that if she has any conscious thought right now, she is not bothered by any such use of her death. In fact, given her reputation as someone who supposedly cared about others more than the average person, she would be in strong support. IMO
