CLEAN HOUSE- This team must be dimantled-

Ray is averaging 1.3 TD/game. AC is averaging 1.6. HOLY CRAP!!!

i personally think that at times the esks are having the same problem the stamps are going through at the moment. RR is having trouble getting the passing game going at times. so people who arent overly experianced analyzing the game will automatically blame ricky for the teams problems. if you watch the receivers at those times tho, they are not running great routes and not attacking the ball. it is not ok to just catch the ball if it cleanly arrives to your hands. you need to come back, close in or in some cases fight off a db thats nearly molesting you to get the ball. and at times the receivers for both the stamps and the esks have not done this. as a calgary fan it will pain me to say this but there is not better qb in the league to have a deep air passing attack with. people might say AC but i disagree...he is just the best all around. he doesnt always take long shots downfield but picks apart the defense but im getting off topic lol! point is Ray is a better qb than burris lol and he's not got the receiving corp again to show it off but they arent doing their share of the work. as far as cobra's incites on defense lol. yes lets get rid of the best players on defense at the moment ( goss and ellis) and than try to revamp the entire secondary at this stage in the season. great idea, lets not let them come into their own or rebound after a poor game. cut them, there are no second chances. lol im not a fan of your last coach(cannot spell his name i wont lie lol) and not a fan of him as a gm or whatever he is now lol and ritchie hall isnt that great of a coach himself but you are deff not overly short on talent in respects to most other teams in the league.

Looking at the starting defensive lineup against Toronto, there was only one player on the field that was here last year. Goss, and he was at corner. I think sometimes we forget, this is a new coach, new coordinator, dont know how many new players and not to mention a completely new defensive scheme. It takes time to gel as a team. Yes, they struggled this year, but I would say that any team in the league would struggle under the same circumstances. I think they are heading in the right direction.

I sure hope they figure it out in time for playoffs.

Go Esks!!!! :rockin:

I'm always amused  by the Monday morning rantings of all the armchair GMs and Coaches.
I'll put this very simple as not to confuse anybody. Hugh Campbell was quoted as saying "There is a fine line between winning and losing...Football is a game of inches" That was in the last year of the Esks 5 in a row run. They were a 500 team that year...what did they do... they put it together and won the Grey cup! Last time I looked the Esks were 3 pts out of first in the west and 2 pts ahead in the crossover. This team won the game...wasn't pretty but I'll take it. Look at any postion and you will find someone somewhere that may be better but this is a TEAM SPORT. This is the team that we have and it is way too late to make wholesale changes....let's save the "CLEAN HOUSE-This team must be dismantled-" crap until the season is over. There is lots of football left to play.IMHO I don't care if it's pretty or ugly......JUST WIN BABY!
GO ESKS!

:rockin:

Am I the only one who thinks Strasser has been awful? In my opinion worse than Daley (who I also think should be gone) Even worse effort on all parts since he’s taken over…

This team must NOT be dismantled. Way too much turnover from season to season the last 4 years. I'm tired of seeing 40% or more roster turnover EVERY season, it is far too much. Keep this core of players together, with a moderate attempt to upgrade at receiver, as well as our defensive line and this team will be much better next season. Richie also has to be more willing to throw Maas in the game when Ricky is struggling, which he has done quite a bit of the past few weeks. Re-watch film of the Saskatchewan game, and you will see Ricky being confident with this passes, making VERY quick reads, and delivering the ball quickly. Since then, he has regressed back into the Ricky who hangs on to the ball far too long, is indecisive and hesitant. And when he is playing this way and only puts up 8 and a half points in 2.5 quarters like he did versus Toronto, it is time to see if Maas can spark the team.

And no Strasser is not a horrible OC. He was put into a very difficult situation in having to teach and implement a CFL offence all with only 8 weeks(?) remaining left in the season. It may have hurt us this season, but I am betting it will be better for us in the long run as he has had time to teach the offence the remainder of this season in preparation for next year(which is important considering we are hosting the GC).

Getting rid of Ricky Ray...are you kidding?

Winnipeg, Toronto and Saskatchewan would be glad to take Ray off of you.

And, if his QBs keep going down to injury, Wally'd probably be interested too. . .

Cobra99 is pure Lion backer, that is no lie? :? Go Eskies at McMahon.

Not sure if he is a LIons' backer. . . he's posted that Wally Buono is a dreadful coach and should be fired. . . yes, THAT Wally Buono, holder of the record for most wins as a coach in CFL history. . . mind you he's also posted that he thinks Travis Lulay is the best CFL QB since Doug Flutie. . .

And he posted Casey Printers is the best QB to Grace the CFL…
