CIS PLAYOFF GAMES

Western 11 Laval 6 47yd fieldgoal, maybe the Cats look at this guy.

Western 11 Laval 6 end of third quarter

Western 11 Laval 9 5:26 4th

Laval 13 Western 11 final

Probably would not make a difference to the outcome, but Western lost 5 seconds as the clock ran down to 11 seconds, then it ran down to 5 seconds before the ref told the timekeeper to put it back to 11 seconds . can imagin Coach Marshals face when he sees the video

Shame about that last field goal. Looked like it was straight down the middle but just to short. But if you have a 5 point then a 2 point lead for the entire fourth quarter and unable to move the ball past your own 40, you should consider yourself fortunate that you were able to be in a position for a last play game winning field goal.

Yes deer. Mustangs played well but just a bit short. Great win for the Rouge et Or, now to play the Vanier in their hometown, has to be sweet for them.

The on-screen clock wasn’t in sync with the stadium clock (they mentioned it a couple of times in the last minute, so it may have just been TSN keeping their clock going to try and sync it up.

The UofC-SMU game is being played in front of family and friends.

Two brutal football games.

Thankfully the NCAA offered a couple decent options.

Didn't see the second game but if you think Western and Laval were brutal Ockham, then you don't understand Canadian football and how it's played, not always high scoring, and what the value of winning a game like this is to be in the Canadian university championship. The game was a battle, maybe not always perfect or beautiful in execution but then it's not about that, it's about the battle to win, Canadian rules football style. Battles can sometimes look like both teams aren't playing well.

I understand Canadian football well enough to recognize a boring game when I see one (or two).

Calgary 35 Saint Mary's 8
To many turn overs & penalties after big offensive plays for the Huskies.

UNB Saint John Seawolves 40 Dalhousie University Tigers 6
UNBSJ wins the 2010 Moosehead Cup champions of the Atlantic Football League.

IMHO, very impressed with the Dinos wildcat formation, esp in the cold weather. when trying to throw passes with a frozen rock its best to have a good running game practiced and ready to go.
Myabe the Ticats should review the Dinos game film they may learn something!

Of note Glavic can play at the CFL level!
American players are coming north for a CIS football education

Lirim Hajrullahu made that by only a few inches and with the wind at his back. But still, he made the kind of FG our coaching staff can’t trust Sandro to make.

And any Ticat fan watching the game at the end may have had flashbacks on the second last play when the decision was made to throw a pass to get into FG range. But that was the right call, as Hajrullahu’s attempt was short against the wind.

While we’re talking about kickers, I understand that Calgary’s K/P, Aaron Ifield, is on our neg. list. We might be seeing Sandro’s replacement play in the Vanier Cup game next Saturday.

Not boring to this guy whatsoever. To each his own.

Laval 23 Calgary 2 3:11 2ND

Laval 26 Calgary 2 halftime

Calgary better start catching the ball or this thing will get really ugly.

Laval 29 Calgary 2 final in the 2010 Vanier Cup.13 wins for Laval this season.Nothing like football in the snow,a crowd of 16,233 must be a Canadian thing.
