What happened to Wright after the 1999 season? Did he retire?

I dont know and the article doesn't say

reading that sad new make me think

what happen with Thomas Haskins if i remember correctly he had a brain tumeur or something like that..

i really like him when he play with the Alouettes

32 years old, what a shame, the kid should of still been playing ball somewhere.

That is very sad and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Radio this morning is saying he was murdered.
Shot in the street in front of his sisters home

After his two years in Montreal, he made a breif stint with the Lions, and then was released. When you are released this young, you may have a bit too much of off-field problems. Being shot in the street also supports that theory.

Anyways. Thoughts to his mom and sisters.

MONTREAL (CP) - Chris Wright, a wide receiver and kick return specialist who helped the Baltimore Stallions win the Grey Cup in 1995, was murdered in Atlanta over the weekend.

Police said Wright was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds about 4 a.m. Sunday. After Wright's sister heard several shots in front of her house, she found his body outside in the street, next to his car. No arrests have been made.
