Looking at the season so far the Biggest screw up was releasing this guy :thdn: with all the dropped balls lately it really puts this release in perspective doesn't it :? Obie and Marcel smooth move.............. :thdn:
Oh I forgot that waste of a uniform Mr Bauman has a Canadian passport!
I do think it was a mistake to release him.
But he dropped his share of balls too.
Was that your point?
James made a nice TD catch though.
Bauman dropped another one.
Nice to see Cory Grant score a TD…maybe he should play in Bauman’s spot.
Stalla should see the ball more as should Bruce(catching the ball at your knees in stride isn’t easy…Porter should be as much to blame for the bad pass).
I would not say this is the biggest blunder.
I would rate AHEAD of this blunder, the fact that we traded/let go (can’t remember) this guy called Chris GETZLAF, a non-import to Saskatchewan.
Take a look at his stats. I bet they are ahead of Bauman’s…
.
Nice going guys…
Getzlaf is good, but maybe it's because he's playing where he wants to play...in his hometown.
Wonder if Bauman would do the same thing in Regina?
Davis was too inconsistent to keep. He was probably making more money than the young guys, but not worth what he was getting based on the dropped balls.
Very surprised at McDaniel's drops, and Bruce's drops against Winnipeg. Hopefully that isn't an issue going forward.
It is the system Getzlaf is in rather than him being happy where he is playing.
If Bauman goes back home, catches everything in site and succeeds it will have nothing to do with home cooking.
Davis was a big ticket guy. I am sure there is more to the story than he dropped too many passes. Obie raved about him, and boasted about the long contract he inked with the team before the season.
Not sure why he was axed, but there is a story to be told I am sure.
By the way Getzlaf was acquired by Saskatchewan along with tailback Corey Holmes for the loveable Jason Armstead…nice deal ):
Another biggest blunder of 2009 was under utilizing the talent of Prechae Rodriguez, our 2008 East Division Rookie of the year. Is this coaching staff stuck on stupid or what?
It's definitely up there. He dropped a ball here and there. But the "drive killer" label people put on him was rather melodramatic. The guy made plays. Nobody who has played, McDaniel, Currie (cough), or James have had half of Davis' production. So James caught a TD pass last game. It's about time.
Maybe you haven't noticed but the offense is struggling lately. Even Bruce's production is down. Why is Bruce double or triple covered all the time? Could it be that he is the only threat out there? I think so. If you want to bench Davis and try someone else out, fine, but cutting him was drastic.

8) I agree with you, there is undoubtedly a story to be told there !!
Oh, to be a fly on the wall, regarding that episode !!! <!-- s:wink: -->:wink:<!-- s:wink: -->
There may very well be a story there. Perhaps O’Bie and MB thought that his production did not equal his paycheque. Perhaps he was offered a practice roster spot, and declined. Perhaps there was a fight behind closed doors. Perhaps his attitude was too much for his output. Who knows? Perhaps we will find out at the end of the season…
I like Chris, but he's gone and I can't really say that I agree with it being the biggest blunder of 2009. I'd say giving up a draft pick and Cory Mace for that ball-dropping receiver what's his name was...
5,4,3,2,1.... Just checking to see how many people need a sarcasm emoticon...
Draftpick Schmaftpick.
Bruce is our leading receiver and only deep threat.
Other than Stala, who would you want to throw to in the clutch?
Also, where is Corey Mace?
