Choquette, Beauchemin named Day 1 coaches' picks

REGINA — Pads were strapped on. Guardian caps were donned. The moment had come.

Prospects took the field and the first day of practice sessions has wrapped up at the 2025 Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine. This year’s class of draft-hopefuls participated in individual drills, group teaching and one-on-ones as fans, scouts, GMs and personnel from across the league looked on.

One of them can certainly be a Stampeder. But Huff and Dave usually outsmart everyone with less conventional (but proven smart) picks

Hhmmm… . There was a time that statement was true but it has been a minute.

Seems to be a deep defensive talent pool this year. Should be fun watching them develop in the next few years.

only a minute.. stop backing it sound like this is a losing franchise. Its not

I can see your perspective but they have been really bad the past two years and it is starting to feel as though the game has moved beyond Dickenson. For certain, he has not (excluding Adams) done well evaluating and bringing in transformative talent that can elevate a team. That is just my unprofessional/observational opinion. Adams should help but it is hard for one player to cover for all the deficiencies. Calgary has a proud tradition and I am sure they will figure out how to right the boat..erm..the rodeo. With Adams in Calgary, it is possible that every team in the West will be playing for playoff possibilities right down to the last snap of the regular season.
