Besides the news, who even watches CHCH?

They have garbage shows on all day and nite.

I kinda like the fact that I can get local news all day. At nite, you can catch an old movie.

I don't see the big issue here.

This is a good format you will see more local news and local sports probably more coverage of our beloved Ti-Cats and you will see two movies every night so there is know need to have this super channel and you can save a few bucks,If you are sitting watching TV all day you got problems especially that crap on the E channel :thup: :thup:

You know what would be really cool and dare I say "innovative"......hmmm..... Channel Zero picking up the slack on what's been missing on our local station and putting together shows like these again:

I laugh at anyone who pays for super channel, that is the biggest pile o dog dirt on earth, TMN and HBO now thats quality programming.

Back on topic, I wonder what kind of movies they are going to play, probably crappy ones. I only watch CHCH for news, and I use my DVR to fastforward it anyways.

I wonder if they will get to kep the helicopter for the traffic,I remember when E bought CHCH they made such a big deal about getting a helicopter.

I would like to see CHCH get the rights back to cover university sports like they had years ago. I really enjoyed their coverage, especially OUA football. I thought they did a much better job than the Score.

It's a great idea more news means more local sports and no doubt more Cat coverage. There will be news ALL MORNING and after that movies. The news at 5:30 has been entertaining, great format.

It's a big step up from "E" with all that non stop Hollywood gossip and soap operas.

Well said, mikem. It is encouraging to know that the CHCH-TV television licence has been renewed for seven years and that the station will be providing increased news service to the Hamilton, Halton and Niagara areas. Also, the station will give people who cannot afford speciality movie channels the option of seeing a movie if they want to.

Honestly… is there anything in the entire world that you actually like? You complain about everything.

Life is not perfect… not everything can be the way you want. Accept things as they are or just ignore them. Otherwise you’re just needlessly stressing over things. It’s not healthy for yourself.

Perhaps under the new format we can get a 1 hour Ticats show or at least something like Off-The-Record, but 1 hour long and better (no ML).

All news in the AM and all movies in the PM sounds great to me…I may start tuning in again if I’m home during the day sometimes.

Anything else I need such as science, nature, spoerts, comedy, history or documentarys can be found elsewhere.

I’m curious as to whether they will return to an actual working news set or continue with that yucky computer generated background.

they did a 2-3 minute infomercial during the news last night to push the new format. During the bit Nick Dixon said the movies will be in HD. Does anyone receive CHCH in HD?

they also spelled Channel Zero Z E R E O during one of the graphics . Who's correct?

Under the new CHCH format, the possibilities are endless when it comes to local content.
Someone earlier mentioned the possibility of a Tiger Cat Show. Why Not?

The channel can now expand on its local news because under the old format,
I noticed a lot of half stories. I suppose this was due to time constraints.

I hated the “E” format with its untrue stories and exaggerations as they generally
pertained to people in Hollywood or politics.

Now, the new CHCH can work diligently on improving itself. They have some quality
people working there so I’m anxious to see what they can do.

I’m not sure I got it right, but I thought I heard that they were also going HD. The
two “blockbuster” movies per night being advertised, starting at 7pm should look great in HD.

I’m interested in more of your thoughts as I see great possibilities for this channel now
that they seemingly have good ownership and dumped their trashy telecasting.
