Changes at Receiver

Right now all the desent players we could pickup are trying out for the NFL but soon there will be many good WR on the lose. Picking up two tall fast WRs will put a whole new look on our team. Remember what hill did to our O last year. Heres hoping our scouts have an eye for talent.

and one less game played…and winning the season series.

I thought Archie was still having nerve problems with his leg. Does anyone know for sure if he 100% healthy?

Is anyone Really 100% Healthy?

You guys suffer from the Doug Gilmour complex that Leaf fans have. "Bring back Dougie!!!" Amerson's done. His time's come and gone. He was a very good player but he isn't any more. If he can help the Cats, then you're really in trouble.

Here's a different spin. Use 4 receiver sets more. Yes, 2 count 'em TWO backs more often! Even if it's a passing down you can use them to stay in protection, which would give our QB more time to find receivers! DBs can't cover forever you know.

You have to think that one of the keys to getting things happening on offense would be to involve Corey Holmes a lot more.

If Josh Ranek is in playing shape, he should get the opportunity to play, even if this means shifting Corey out of the backfield and employing a rotation of him (Holmes), Flick, and Morreale.
Putting Brock Ralph out as WR is a good idea, we need some speed and a deep threat.
But the real need remains getting the OLine fixed that either Maas or Eakin have a few seconds extra to throw, and the potential for Ranek/Radlein or Holmes to run...
This week, we are playing in Wpg, which is a heck of a lot "dryer" in humidity, and so it might not be as taxing on Holmes to ask him to return kicks, at least occaisionally...its what he does best, and he's got the heart for it...
