On the surface, this looks like the worst UD CFL product yet.
No patch cards?!
No Nathan Rourke cards in this set is a shocker. For the record, the only UD product with Rourke cards remains the 2022 UD set (released in the spring of 2023). That’s already 4 sets ago.
No Mathieu Betts card. They’ve never done one.
And of course no Chris Streveler card because UD/CFLPA always goes out of their way to omit him every year.
A hard pass.

I’m guessing Rourke and Betts were playing in the NFL at the time the photos were taken/cards were made. I get your point though. One would think they would add them in. Streveler, as a backup, wasn’t making it in a set of only 80 cards. CFL should look into that contract with Upper Deck. Super small and slow to market.

If they could put this guy in (with “1” lifetime passing attempt in the CFL), they could’ve done a Streveler, Rourke, Betts no problem.

I agree. But we know he got in due to his brother’s football reputation (and was likely playing in the CFL when the photos were taken).

They previewed the “other” 2025 set that they’re doing several months ago. 2025 SP Game Used CFL.
This one looks a bit better but keep in mind SP G-U boxes are more than double what the regular 2025 UD boxes cost & the last time they did an SP set in 2023….saying it bombed would be polite.

would be typical of cfl if rourke and betts won MOP and MODP respectively this year when they ain’t even in the cards
This card is from a multi-sport set, 2014 Panini Black Friday Autographed Patches.
I’ve seen two of these in 11 years.
The only other CFL player in this set is Ricky Ray, you can see him in the CFL cards thread, he was included in the last post I made, November 2024.
I bought the Chad card last month & the seller shipped next day. Canada Post went on strike two days later.
On Tuesday, Chad finally reached Winnipeg. He even made it to my street. Canada Post then placed him in the wrong postal box.
Canada Post Sucks. Rot in you-know-what, Canada Post.

Here’s the Upper Deck epack exclusive, Davis Alexander CFL rookie card. You can’t get him in the 2025 Upper Deck CFL or 2025 SP Game Used products.
If you’re in Canada, the shipping would’ve made this a $100ca+ card. Sold out for now, listing suggests there were two copies initially.
