the diference between NBCSN and ESPN2 is huge... nIndycar went from getting 700K to getting 250K.... Indycar's last race got 196K on NBCSN. If the CFL could somehow draw 300K on NBCSN... You would see the CFL actually receive TV revenues from the US

Saturday’s Riders vs Esks game was the #21 most watched program (of 133) on ESPN2 last week, garnering an impressive 347,000 viewers (average). This is nearly three times the largest CFL audience on the NFL Network (Riders vs Stamps in 2010 = 123,000). Add in the 1,000,000 or so who watched on TSN and RDS and this is a tremendous audience! :thup:

Do you have a link to you source about 1 million? That is very high for a summer rating, the CFL Gets a million at playoff time. Last year’s average viewership was 714,000 average.

The CFL gets 1.3-2 mill in playoffs; the west usually being a couple hundred thousand more than the East.

The point is.... we can speculate all we want and have TO Sports media hacks spew whatever they want... The truth is, someone has silenced the sports media in this country from reporting the numbers... The interest level on this topic is very high... Not just on this fan board but on many diferent sports fan boards... I found that Sons of Bronx link on trackforum.com where it has been stickyed. Somone out there(I suspect MLSE) has silenced the Canadian media from reporting these numbers.

i would think that the Sask game would have had all of Sask watching, so there is close to a million, bc calgary game could have been the lowest at six hundread thousand, winnipeg game had close to a million, toronto game i say close to a million,

Yes you are way off, If you look at the BBM ratings posted above even the NHL draft scored higher. The CFL does’t do well until Labour Day. The RDS ratings did’t even score in the top 30 of French ratings.

It’s the same guy that started this post - xyvs!! - he’s trying to post everywhere that the CFL had great ratings but he never posted a link. If you look at the ratings above, you can see that the ratings were nowhere near what he is saying.

cfl zone and total cfl have turned into the creator of the forum basicly talking to themselves.... It is sad and funny at the same time. ESPN has cancelled all of its forums as of july 17 due to lack of traffic

He says the cfl's time is finished in Toronto and that the mls is much more popular then the argos. I think he is actually Stephen Brunt... he is even a cats fan....lol.
