for those that don't think this is a big deal, it is for the players that mistakenly were chosen and informed they were getting bonuses, only to be told later they weren't. this isn't like the NFL where a few thousand here and there isn't much to average salary, bonuses can mean a lot for some CFL wage earners. and of course the personal recognition means something for them. it's unprofessional and yet unsurprising. the fact that there was no editorial review before the selections were distrib…

Yes it is rather embarrassing and should never have happened

But if this is our League’s controversy at the moment I’ll take it…compared to the controversies in other Leagues elsewhere

Oh the CFL has plenty of much larger problems, to be sure. But little things like this just make me ask, if they can't get the simplest basic 101 type stuff right, how can the same people be trusted to handle the actual, big issues?

Base salary
Signing bonus
Grey Cup winning bonus
Named to All-Star team bonus
Named to All-Star team but then it turns out you're not but too late to backtrack now bonus
