The cfl.ca staff give the Ticats a 3.53% chance of playing in the Grey Cup and a 0.89% chance of winning it.

Malgré qu’elle ne soit pas porteuse de bonnes nouvelles, cette simulation est basée sur l’ensemble de la saison. Or, la façon dont une équipe a jour vers la fin de sa saison est souvent un facteur important dans les éliminatoires. On l’a vu avec les Argonauts l’an dernier. Dans le cas des Ticats, le fait que Milanovitch dirige maintenant l’attaque est un facteur non négligeable que les simulations statistiques ne peuvent considérer.
L’autre chose, c’est que dans la LCF, les surprises en éliminatoires sont tout de même assez fréquentes, et c’est tant mieux! L’espoir demeure vivant tant que les parties ne sont pas jouées.

Although it does not bring good news, this simulation is based on the entire season. However, how a team fares towards the end of its season is often an important factor in the playoffs. We saw it with the Argonauts last year. In the case of the Ticats, the fact that Milanovitch is now leading the attack is a significant factor that statistical simulations cannot take into account.
The other thing is that in the CFL, surprises in the playoffs are quite common, and that’s a good thing! Hope remains alive until the games are played.

Otherwise there would be no point in having playoffs.
I can’t remember a season with what seems like so many meaningless games.
Usually a lot more suspense coming down the stretch.
