Yeah, I read about that. And they have the balls to cry and carry on for two weeks about Bruce pulling hair.Guess they figured their Al’s were perfection in every way
These online petitions are pointless, nobody takes them seriously which probably explains why it has 109 signatures as I write this. Add on to that that it's poor written with a number of run on sentences in it. I don't think you want to question whether the CFL has balls in a petition if you want them to take it seriously either.
I do agree that Jiminez deservers far more than what he got, but this isn't the proper way to go about that.
yup, what should be done is some of the players around the league should get together, put hoods over their heads, roust him out of bed in the middle of the night, tar and feather him, and leave him otherwise naked miles from home.
Is that a fact? Well I would rather see a guilty man go free than an innocent man wrongly punished. I certainly wouldn’t condone punishing an entire league of men (and its millions of fans) for the action of one.
the CFLPA represents the entire league of players, and they are getting in the way of the league being able to deal with players such as JJ they way they should be able to. That mean collectively, all the players are guilty. The league needs to take a stand against the CFLPA, not matter what it means regarding play stoppage, or ending.
I think there is a bigger issue here than just Jimenez… say a defensive player decided to take a out a star player… like a Burris, Durant or Ray because they know the worst they will get is lighter in the wallet. I believe the safety of all other players are as stake here… and it mystifies me that the CFLPA would side with one player or the rest… he has already ended one career, so what’s to stop him for ending another?
As to the petition, yes its incoherent, but I think he raises a valid issue… would you want to lose a player YOU pay to watch have his career jeapordized by someone who thinks he needs to take a cheap shot to be effective?
It’s senseless to petition the CFL. It gave him the worst penalty it was allowed to do without having an appeal. The problem is the CFLPA wants it that way so it would appear they are happy with seeing some of its players badly hurt. As stupid as that sounds that’s how it is. No one of the reps wanted to say it was over the top. They had excuses for it all.
So if they can’t look after themselves why try to get the CFL to do it for them?
