I think that a regular season CFL match (Has to be regular match NOT pre-season) between BC LIONS v MONTREAL A would really work.
The NFL have a match in London soon with a sell out crowd of 84000 however in France there is the history between the english and the french and this would be a match that would capture the imagination + there is a strong french canadian community that live and work in Paris.
A one off organised a year in advance would easily IMO pull in over 50000.
They could schedule the Paris game just before the bye-week to accommodate the extra travel time. It would be perfect if the CFL will have expanded to Quebec City by then, allowing for an All-Francophone matchup vs Montreal in Paris.

Has to be BC v Montreal to get the locals going or BC v Quebec (Once they are back in) its the english v french thing
If they could get a sold out 50K+ stadium with the average ticket going for say 40-50$ then yes it would be worth it, but that is unlikely and there are other issues like hour change(thus when the game would be scheduled)
Hey if Cohon can get get a french city to garantee X$ to the CFL if they play a game there fine.
Expenses covered and 1M$ garanteed(750K to the "home" team and 250K to the "away" team) do it.
But there would need to be garanteed to do this, which would be very hard to do.
[quote="sambo42"]Maybe we can put an expansion in Paris before we stick another one back in Ottawa...  [/quote
Tickets for sporting events are much higher in Europe + we have a strong corporate hospitalty element real fans will pay around £ 30.00 minimum tp £ 50.00 for a match like this thats Can 60 to Can 120 and VIP with lunch around £ 300 thats can 700.
NO 1 RULE IN SPORT EXPAND OR DIE
This would be a success and would also have french local goverment surport they have huge budgets for assisting sporting events for a start the stadium would be free along with all the ticketing and security.
You need events like this to get your TV revenue up as i said in a previous post the Rugby Super League will be on £ 25 Million a season from 2009 for 5 years that maes the CFL worth around Can $100 Million a season in terms of TV viewers.
