Has anyone heard what’s going on with Fajardo??
Apparently he has a hamstring injury, thats all I know.
I hope Jake ceresna can play Saturday
Why does Winnipeg even reply? Questionable? Why don’t they just say–We don’t want to tell you! Total baloney
I’m not sure why that damn System puts the updating link in the smallest print, but hey you do you, System.
Fully agree ! When I questioned the way Winnipeg posts these injury reports last week I got a snotty reply from MacDavid ! I ignored him because any reply would have resulted in discipline from the moderators. Nobody can say anything that seems to be showing a critical comment towards the Bombers or Riders. Even if the comment is to the point and accurate else they get attacked by one of their fans.
No. And we very likely won’t until some time next week, when depending on the severity of the injury he will practice or not. Teams rarely if ever give injury updates on bye weeks.
You have to look at their game day depth/position charts, which are supposed to be given to the league (not sure about posted) 24 hours before the game.
While I understand that you may not want your opposition making game plans based on who is injured etc, it makes very little sense to try to obfuscate when you have to post your starting lineup anyway.
The only thing Questionable is O’Shea’s honesty when it comes to injury reporting
Not to obfuscate, I tend to agree, but the pre-game strategy has always been also to deter and delay the opponent, not so much mislead, plus of course for key starters, an extra few hours can make a huge difference in healing every week from any given heavy sores that impede performance.
Thank goodness the deadline is 24 hours before game time and not 2 hours, or we’d certainly have the latter.
But really, if the guy isn’t ready two days before - how big are his chances of getting re-injured if he’s a game time decision?
I am noting that some free agents who changed teams and were injured previous seasons are available every week for their new club.
So to me - it’s not the best idea to play a guy “because he can go”. Do like some clubs do and give him another week to heal up.
With a player on the 6 game injury list, even if he was ready to play after 5 games, it would be tempting for the team to keep him out for another week to save 1/3rd of his salary against the cap.
It was more in reference to guys coming back before they are ready. It seems that there are guys who seemed to always be on the injured list on team A that move to team B and are injured, but (sorry I have to pick on somebody) last year Carey was hurt, played, hurt, played, hurt, played, and until the last couple games didn’t seem to play like himself.
Where one wonders if an extra week or two recovery at the beginning of the season would not have just made him available, but available at full strength.
There is nothing official yet, but it’s rumoured that he will miss a few games.
Makes sense there wont be a official update till after the bye week is over , i know Wynn and some other players did a Rollercoaster somewhere yesterday, pretty sure one other player i spotted in his story was Jacob Mason
