CFL Injury Reports: Week 15

TORONTO — Week 15’s injury reports for all teams will be housed here and will be updated daily.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.cfl.ca/2024/09/09/cfl-injury-reports-week-15

The Argos are the most injured team in the league but there’s nothing in today’s report about them. I’d like to know if and when some of these guys are coming back for the B.C. game or at all the rest of the season. Is the team delinquent in submitting reports? What’s going on? Thanks for any response.

This is just one more example of the CFL giving the Toronto Argonauts Special Treatment but allowing them the advantage of NOT Posting their injury results punctually! Why haven’t they been fined Mr. Commissioner???

I think only the one game injured list players (if not exceeding one more week) and newly injured players are listed here.

6 game injured list players are not listed here unless, if they are returning back for the next game.

That’s how I see it works.

One must have patience ! Not all the teams practise at the beginning of the week. It depends upon when their last game was and the mandatory 2 days off after that game. I see the Toronto injuries listed for Tuesday practice. So Monday was a day off.

Correct. Two days after a game, one day off before a game.

And teams have a limited number of optional practice days for the season.

So it says injury reports for ALL teams yet only the 6 playing this week show up, I guess the other 3 teams have no injuries? Come on, if you say all, show all!

On a side note the Bombers are rumoured to be signing Dolegala & Bryan Scott ex of BC & the Argos. Streveler apparently done for the year - not surprising as last I heard he had 3 ligament tears.

Well - they need a backup ready to play next week. And I do mean ready. Zach doesn’t seem to robust lately and even a clean hit could rattle his bean…

Since the other teams are on a bye they do not practise. If they are not practising there is no way they can tell how they are doing at practise or if injures are keeping them out. Try to be reasonable . When they are scheduled to play again be sure they will be practising and the injury report will be posted.

Bye week or no bye week each team needs the injury teport posted. This thing on bye weeks when a team is on a bye there is no news and updates. This needs to change.Fans like to know whats happening with their team.I wish they would report news on the teams wheter they are playing or not.Nice to have it change so fans aren’t left in the dark.

Every team has their 1 game and 6 game injured lists on their roster pages.

Also if you spend any time on the forum, most teams have fans discussing their team’s rosters.

When teams are off there are no coaches and player inteviews and reports. This needs to chsnge so fans are aware of whats happening. This isn’t happening on interviews until the first practice day.So whenbits a bye fans don’t know anything whats happening for possibly more than a week which is unacceptable.

Not to brag but I think the Riders have the dubious honour of being most banged-up with 16 injured players – 6 OL, 2 WR, 1 FB, 1 RB, 3 DL, 1 LB, and 2 DB.
TOR has 12 injured players… Still a lot mind you.

I hope it’s not lost on fans, that the Argos didn’t renew the contract of the ‘Strength and Conditioning coach’ (Chad’s victim), and now Argos fans are complaining that they have "more injured players than any team’… as you can hear repeatedly in the ‘X’s and Argos’ podcast. Come on Ben. If you are going to constantly whine about the number of injuries the Argos have, please connect the dots.

That seems not to have changed the last few years. Definitely something that needs to be addressed.
The Elks were like that until they changed the team medical staff and brought in some new strength and conditioning coaches.

The Riders brought back Dan Farthing as Head of Strength and Conditioning this past off-season. Still, it seems like they’ve lost three complete O-lines to injury this year.

It is unfortunate but there is way more to playing O-line than just blocking. There is a lot of footwork that goes with the blocking to open passing and run lanes. And a lot of that keeps guys out of other guys way to avoid tripping and rolling up on guys - stuff that prevents injuries.

And when guys start getting injured…it snowballs if you don’t have experienced guys to step in.
