TORONTO — Tre Ford, Marc-Antoine Dequoy and the Edmonton Elks’ offensive line have made the grade for August in the Canadian Football League (CFL) Honour Roll powered by Pro Football Focus (PFF). The selections include all appearances from Weeks 9 to 12.
Try as I might, I haven’t been able to make consistent sense of how the honour roll grades are determined. For the past week, A.J. Ouellette was ranked as the top running back. But when I look at the stats and impact between Ouellette and Brady Oliveira, I can’t help but just scratch my head. Any thoughts to shed light on these seemingly mysterious evaluations? Do they use any real metrics?!? I need enlightenment, please!
How is Brett Lauther the Kicker/Punter of the Month???
I would’ve put Whyte/Ward/Leone over him if it was up to me. I guess Lauther kickoffs were what kept him in their top position but thats not enough for me.
