CFL - GCC 2021 Week 9

Back to four games this week, with just one inter-divisional matchups:

Edmonton (2-4) at Ottawa (1-5) note: Tuesday night game
Winnipeg (6-1) at BC (4-3)
Montreal (2-4) at Hamilton (4-3)
Saskatchewan (5-2) at Calgary (2-5)

There were no inter-divisional games last week, so the West lead remains at 9-5.

List your picks for the winners. We'll keep a weekly tally and whoever is at the top after the Grey Cup gets bragging rights.

Might as well be the first one to jump in the water . Well , here goes nothing . My picks for week # 9 are...

My picks:

Edmonton (2-4) at Ottawa (1-5)

Winnipeg (6-1) at BC (4-3)

Montreal (2-4) at Hamilton (4-3)

Saskatchewan (5-2) at Calgary (2-5)

Hmm, three road picks this week, and I'm very tempted to pick Montreal too. I might change that depending on injury status.

I have same problem that Cap Dave and many others seem to have
Just not confident saying all road teams win but then who scores the upset...

For now I echo the crowd:

Edmonton
Winnipeg
Hamilton
Saskatchewan

I can't see Edmonton dropping another to Ottawa, and Hamilton and Winnipeg just seem obvious to me.
Which leaves do I think the Stamps are capable of an upset (back in 2019 I can not imagine calling them winners at home as an upset...)

I am going to mull this over...

I had similar thoughts as well. The tricky part about calling heavy upsets is picking the right ones, which seldom happens.

When that’s the case, usually I just go back to favourites or my gut.

Then it’s either a rout or I’m happy with 3-1 when I miss out on that elusive 4-0. Like many last weekend, I just missed out on a 3-0 given the last minute antics in Vancouver.

Edmonton (2-4) at Ottawa (1-5) note: Tuesday night game. I just don't think Ottawa is there yet and they have serious QB issues right now
Winnipeg (6-1) at BC (4-3) BC is due for one Just as Winnipeg is due for a loss. It will take a strong team to beat the BB and maybe the Lions can do it this week.
Montreal (2-4) at Hamilton (4-3) It is in Hamilton and they are well rested. They my be getting some more receivers back. Adams has not been doing well.
Saskatchewan (5-2) at Calgary (2-5)- Riders hung in to beat the Lions. Saw some growth there especially on the O-line. Calgary has had flashes of success however. I think it will be close but the Riders will prevail. BTW, these two teams are going to really HATE each other as they play 3 times over the next 4 weeks.

Edmonton: Because any team in the CFL should be heavily favoured against Ottawa

Winnipeg: Best team in the league coming off a bye week.

Hamilton: Picking Montréal all the time has not worked for me previously so I'm actually picking against them.

Saskatchewan: I wouldn't be surprised if this went the other way, but Sask seems to be the better team.
