Edmonton (2-10) at Toronto (9-4) Tuesday evening make-up game. Edmonton despite their record is starting actually look like a promising team and on both sides of the ball. That Cornelius (spelling?) is a huge beast and gaining experience and confidence. UPSET game of the week.
Ottawa (2-11) at Montreal (7-6). Montreal should win this with the way they have been playing and 2nd place could be on the line for them.
Edmonton (2-10) at BC (4-9). BC is at home playing a tired team. Neither team has anything to prove, I expect to see a lot of back-ups playing.
Saskatchewan (9-4) at Hamilton (7-6). Hamilton has 2nd place on the line. Saskatchewan will probably give some players a rest (at least they should). I think it might be close but the Cats will prevail.
Winnipeg (11-2) at Calgary (7-6). Winnipeg does not want to be riding a two game losing streak including a loss to a team they might play again. They really will want to crush any confidence that Calgary could gain from a win or even a tight game.

Edmonton (They'll never win... I'm such a fool)
Montreal (I tried to choose Ottawa and then my brain left the building)
Edmonton (No one sane picks a last place team to win twice in one week)
Hamilton (What am I smoking?)
Winnipeg (They don't have to win. So obviously I should've picked Calgary)

Thanks Abendschan (and thanks Dave for putting up with me).
This week I crash and burn in the rankings! :boom:

My Picks are:

And a special thanks for the score keepers for keeping track of standings.... (in our bomber forum we have it going all the way to the grey cup game predictions)

With last week 2-2 my chances are gone just, a 4-0 week might have been a different scenario.
So my hail mary picks are gone and so picking for a strong finish so I can claim to be in form to carry into 2022. I will still be picking in the playoffs for fun.

I always wonder about division winners easing off too early Winnipeg and Toronto and losing momentum and form after a week off.
Thanks all.

I am still chewing this over so it is very likely I will make changes
But for now:

Montreal beats Ottawa - they are playing for home field + are against the weaksauce Redblacks. I just can not see them choking

BC over Edmonton - short week due to the covid game reschedule means in the battle of weaklings I think Lions win

Winnipeg over Calgary - with both teams playoff positions set in stone no real fight here, I just think Win is a much stronger team who does not want to ride a 2 game losing streak into their bye

These last 2 games are giving me fits...

Hamilton over Saskatchewan - Cats need it more and the 2 teams are fairly evenly matched. But will Cats rest people (and give up home field) in order to beat Montreal next week. I dunno.... they need to blow Sask out to guarantee home field since we know Ott can not score

Toronto over Edmonton - if ever there was an upset looking to happen it is here. We know Argos will not be playing for anything but the Elks are really bad this year...

*edit - I am quite surprised it seems a few people had same train of thought as I did
Not much variance except for those cheering Calgary or those simply taking underdogs hoping for upsets

Hamilton is +47
Montreal is +42
So if both teams win this week it is likely Cats end up 3rd

EAST DIVISION

  • Montreal LOSS = Hamilton hosts Montreal in Eastern Semi-Final on November 28 at Tim Hortons Field.
  • Hamilton WIN = Hamilton hosts Montreal in Eastern Semi-Final on November 28 at Tim Hortons Field.
  • Montreal WIN and Hamilton LOSS or TIE = Montreal hosts Hamilton in Eastern Semi-Final on November 28 at Molson Stadium.
  • Montreal TIE and Hamilton TIE = Hamilton hosts Montreal in Eastern Semi-Final on November 28 at Tim Hortons Field.
  • Montreal TIE and Hamilton LOSS = Montreal hosts Hamilton in Eastern Semi-Final on November 28 at Molson Stadium.

This is from the main page. I think Hamilton will play to win on Saturday.
