Before clicking on your post Gridiron Girl I thought for sure that the CFL fired their head of statistics for the obvious reason, you know… sheer incompetence?
Maybe NOW there is a chance that we will be able to easily access stats next season … and not just leader summaries in PDF format.
The whole matter of CFL stats has become so confusing after what simply worked for so long. And this matter of sacking that guy has come to this instead of the longstanding and preceding incompetence? Maybe there’s a legal angle here for the CFL though.
At least the stats page looked like it was fixed perhaps a month ago, but the formatting remains odd.
I don’t know what is so difficult about fewer pages without tabs with live stats for both teams, which we had before!?
In related news, rumour has it that CFL Forum Genius Sports Chatbot will be back in a few weeks, but I don’t think it has anything to do with CFL stats.
Fix your damn stats now for next season, CFL.

I think the dude was just the head of the field stats crew, not the actual stats project team connected to Genius.
Sadly, the stats are still lacking…literally! Players’ historical stats only go back to 2016. I hope they can restore those stats. This whole Genius move was apparently not one at all.

That’s true. I’ve been making up historical CFL facts prior to 2016 all year long. I’ll bet nobody caught my totally made up stats hyping Home Depot to CFL Stadium conversions. If they had my rock solid reputation on these forums would be in tatters by now.
