In 2027 …yup .
He made about 170K in 2025, on a two year deal

Thanks for the in depth career review. Cheers

$315k guaranteed for a WR. BC certainly loves to spend money.

I may regret saying this but this will give Murphy more time for his side career as a John Lithgow celebrity impersonator. Now watch him become our GM.

Also, sounds like Miller has named Chad Kelly as his day 1 starter for camp. Wonder if Redblacks look at making a deal for Arbuckle.

Proulx gets a hard time from everyone but I believe he’s the best official we have. Good for him in speaking up in this article.

I really hope TSN/RDS hires him to be the broadcast rules analyst when he hangs up the whistle. It would be so much better and more professional than Suitor fumbling through what he thinks the rules are.

I love that idea. He is fluently bilingual, knows the rules better than anyone else.

The only issue I could see is the replay officials getting embarrassed when they don’t interpret the call the same way. Unfortunately the CFL is weak in admitting blown calls and may want to save face.

Murphy and his baggage was a black eye on the team and for the League. He should have been banned permanently.

Also, for those pining for Barker to be our new GM, he’s back where he “belongs”.

I get that, but that happens sometimes on NFL broadcasts where Dean Blandino or Gene Steratore say that they disagree with the call on the field. It doesn’t have to be the end of the world if the on-field and in-booth have a difference in interpretation.

Couldn’t agree more. Just remember that Murphy fiasco when our fan “interactions” took place at BMO. Hard pass.

Barker is a money junkie. Let the blew team have him.

Agreed . He never should’ve been rehired after that fiasco at the end of 2021 EF . The golden boy Pinball who most everybody love and few dislike (count me in the latter) rehired him back and nobody blinked about it because it was….well you know…..Saint Pinball that did it .

O’shea Mace Dickensen maas Pierce and Edmonton’s coach were all promoted. That’s how sports work

What does this have to do with my post FROM 6 MONTHS AGO about teams with injured starting QBs?

Nothing . I was replying to the comment about the argos promoting from within. Dont get your knickers in a knot

Now the big question - do they replace the turf for 2026 and then have to change it AGAIN, or wait until 2027 for the (unnecessary/idiotic) field-size and goalpost changes?

They could replace it for 2026 with a blank field and anchor points for both 2027 CFL and USports / 2026 CFL setups. The Alouettes could negotiate the details and costs associated with conversion between CFL games and student programming.

Its not rocket science and already done between soccer and football at multiple CFL stadiums today including Hamilton stadium.

Configuration changes are easy. Lots of venues adapt.

I think moving the goal posts is a great idea when you consider how much they interfere with the play both going towards and out of the end zone.
