A couple of 3downnation story headlines, today, point out a couple of rather unusual happenings in this CFL season’s Week 1:
“New-look Edmonton Elks to field 11 Canadian starters in opener against B.C. Lions”
“B.C. Lions to start four American offensive linemen for season opener”
So are you saying that they are not Canada’s team anymore?
Perhaps, just perhaps mind you, they aren’t that special.
Credit where credit is due..TSN has definitely improved production values. It’s like they actually care now.
This game is actually pleasant to watch without those #$#%ing air horns.
4 teams have started their seasons and only 1 had a team rushing yards total of 100 (MTL 163). Both OTT and TOR’s totals were under 35.
In this pre-season, the TiCats’ game average rushing total was 128 yds.
I’d be quite pleased to see that continue.
If they continue to utilize the one ,two punch of Bell and Augustine effectively I honesetly don’t see a problem with us averaging well over 100+ rushing yards per game .
Montreal looked very good yesterday.
Alexander looked confident and their defense is stellar.
Great crowd in Montreal last night.
Montreal is the team to beat in the East.
Also, the no air horn TV broadcast was 100% better to watch.

I also wouldn’t mind seeing three rushes for 3 yards and 3 TDs by Litre either…
The way he’s used in short yardage reminds me a LOT of Julian Radlein. When the team absolutely, positively, NEEDED to gain a single yard, Danny Mac handing off to Radlein - who had about 5-yards of momentum and burning hate before he touched the ball -was about as automatic as it gets.
I see Litre taking the snap under Centre as an evolution of that.

So while we’re out signing the likes of Jake Dolegala the Riders are out signing Kadeem Carey and Ottawa is signing Luther . So why am I not surprised ?
So I guess we didn’t offer Luther a PR spot after all. Some speculated we might have and he possibly declined it.
It’s always possible that he did decline it because he thought he could get an active roster spot and then nothing materialized so he took the PR spot. But I think it seems more likely they just went with Bruggeling on our PR over him.
