Woah! I just saw the 3DOWN article on Armstead. I was shocked until I saw this Ottawa Citizen article. It wasn’t amicable for good reasons…. He was trouble.

If he wants to play and prove himself to other teams then the CFL is an opportunity . The Chiefs released him and picked up Zappe the former Patriot QB . The Bombers have his CFL neg list rights .
I’m with Eagle in the he ain’t coming to the CFL after making that kind of money in the NFL. He’s be signed to a $75k CAD contract and buried behind at least two other guys on the depth chart.
If he doesn’t find at least a practice roster spot, there will be companies lined up out the door to hire him if he wants to join corporate America. If not, I’m sure he can find work in football

Not to bring up 5 year old wounds… but Simoni’s hit on Collaros was just perfectly timed linebackering meeting a “slide rule… dont hit me” executed as late as possible to extract the most yardage without being hit…
And if one with green coloured glasses thinks otherwise getting traded twice then defeating Lawrence in the Grey Cup the same year with the Bombers was justice enough for both the TiCats and Riders
