I’ll go ya one better …if the Anchors win (and they certainly look like they will) we will be unofficially plucked , f—cked and chucked for this season . Yep , pretty sad to think that not even halfway thru the season and basically the season is already done for this moribund bunch.
Well, as I read your post and reflect on mine, those pesky horse jockeys are within 9.
Well, yes, we are still totally effed.
The most frustrating thing about it is that at this point of the season we should be no worse than 4-4 on the season BUT we’re NOT !!!
Well now, “gulp”, how 'bout those Stumps? What a comeback.
What. A. Catch.
Wonder what that feels like as a fan
Calgary making it interesting
Mital is a big boy. We should have drafted him, What’d we do with that pick again?
Oh yeah. Got fleeced by Toronto. Got nothing for it.
Yes. I still think the Blows knew Jordan Williams was going to retire.
It’d be nice to see Toronto blow this but normally they get a crazy break like a fumble or a FG off the post and still win.
He would’ve looked great playing specials for us .
Wow! What. A. Comeback! Something we rarely see…
What are you talking about… We see comebacks all the time…
Toronto defence looked like Hamilton’s in the 4th quarter. Rene Parades is gold.
In one of these threads, recently, there was an exchange regarding how various Tiger-Cat fans watch league games between other teams.
I’ve, always rooted for, in all such games, whichever team East or West would improve, or solidify, the Tiger-Cats’ picture, in the standings, with a victory.
At this point, in the season, with 7 teams having played 8 games, and the other 2 having played 7 and 9, I think looking at the league wide standings, by %, shows, pretty clearly, which teams we have to root against now, in the hopes of keeping our team’s slim playoff chances alive.
Montreal .875, Ottawa .714, BC .625, Saskatchewan .625, Calgary .500, Toronto .500, Winnipeg .333, Hamilton .250, and Edmonton .125.
Here’s hoping the 4 winning teams, this week, will be SSK, CGY, HAM & BC.
Ottawa has released seven year veteran DB Sherrod Baltimore…

And the reason is…
- In the twilight of his career (although he just turned 31) ?
- Underperforming?
- Make room for a new recruit?
- All of the above?
You forgot 1 more entry - 5 - none of the above.
Could be a $$$ thing.
Possibly. He’d be making more than a player on a rookie deal but Ottawa didn’t re/sign him in free agency - only brought him back sometime in June, likely as a vet to cover injuries (Dandridge and Money Hunter). So he’s not likely making huge bucks.
It couldn’t hurt to bring him in but right now Hamilton has two other guys that were late camp cuts by other teams that they haven’t looked at yet (Demetries Ford-Bombers and Kordell Rodgers-Montreal). They also have Sunderland available who’s started some games for us and has good size (6’-2”, 196 lbs). If Peters is out this week one of those three may get moved out to his spot.
On the top 15 list it caps at $122k. So he can’t be making much more than $100k, if that.
