Sign Geno Lewis and lets get to work.

If our team can sign Lewis , our Grey Cups chances would go up considerably.
He is the best reciever in the league IMO. We have never spent 250k on a reciever before and I think that is what it will take.

OWNERSHIP is a BIG QUESTIONMARK ? in Montreal

Could WPG be coming East again??

Collaros would like that. I believe he lives north of Toronto, so if WPG was in the east he'd be closer to home.

Good one Ted. We’ll stand at the border with fur coats on and physically stop the Bombers.

It would be all the reason necessary to go to one division though.

You almost had me there ExPat . The Bombers , of course, would play and practise in the Peg . An 8 team league would suggest that you could play 3 games against each eastern team and an unbalanced schedule against the 4 western teams . Let's hope local Montreal ownership can be found .

Thanks Grover . Some interesting changes. Kyle Hergel looked like a keeper but On Tuesday morning, Texas State offensive lineman Kyle Hergel announced that he has committed to transfer to Boston College for the 2023 season. Hergel will be a redshirt senior in 2023 for BC.Dec 14, 2022.
Another change is OL Buffalo Bulls Gabe Wallace formerly # 10 ranked player but not on the current list . He's not on the declared list for the NFL Draft . He would be a keeper. 2 other interesting players that are on the Winter Scouting List are OL Sow and
Dontae Bull OL Fresno St . Bull broke his leg last season and Sow OL East. Mich . seems too heavy and too slow for a CFL lineman .
There are some Question marks here on the OL prospects .

More fun with taxes. The accountants among us must be ecstatic with the recent CFL news flow.

Contract details: Jeremiah Masoli gives Redblacks cap space, pockets more money with renegotiated contract - 3DownNation

Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli provided the Ottawa Redblacks with $75,000 in salary cap relief under the terms of his renegotiated contract but will keep $33,000 more in his pocket after taxes, according to sources.

Masoli had one year remaining on his deal when he signed an extension on January 16 to keep him in the nation’s capital through 2024. The new agreement was viewed as a win for both parties with the team’s overall costs going down and the veteran QB receiving more up front in the form of a signing of bonus, which are taxed at a significantly lower rate for American players.

And, he helped his team afford to buy him some expensive, extra protection:

Drew Desjarlais becomes the highest-paid offensive lineman in the #CFL. Signs with the #Redblacks for $256,500 this season and will be paid $266,000 in 2024. The guard is considered elite.

That’s a huge signing by Redblacks. I’m sure Bombers would have wanted him back, in fact most teams would probably make him an offer.

It seems MTL QB Harris isn't happy with MTL ownership problems

If both Harris and Lewis bail on the Al's because of this unstable ownership then expect more players to follow.

The Al's already look like they're headed for the basement of the CFL East and the season is still months away from starting.
