1st Overall, Hamilton – Dylan Barker, Defensive Back, University of Saskatchewan.
When Bob O’Billovich took a look at his Tiger-Cats, there were more holes than William ‘The Refrigerator’ Perry’s grill. Hamilton cannot reach or miss this spring, coming off continued disappointments year after year. Barker brings the tools – he’s a solid 200 pounds on a 6-foot-4 frame, but can fly. His 4.54 time in the 40 at the combine surprised most GMs and the 37 ½-inch vertical he recorded was tied for second at the Evaluation Camp. Barker is only 21, so the upside of the first-team all-Canadian is terrific.
