CFL 2012-2013 moves of veteran players

I include the most recent off-season moves of veteran players; these moves are based on players who played in 2012; for instance, if a player was injured for the whole 2012 season and he is back,it is not considered a move/arrival; using the same "raisonement', if a player was hurt for the whole 2012 season and has been released by his team,it is not included as a move.departure; finally, if a player has not been re-signed by his team, it is considered a move/departure from this team. The Non-Imports are identified by an *.

While there could be some oversights/omissions or mistakes, I tried to be as accurate as possible, based on known information as of 14:00 hours on February 18,2013.

Great job Richard, CFL.ca should be doing this.

Thank you; much appreciated.

Richard

Good piece of work! From looking at your lists I note that Toronto and Hamilton have been the most active teams in the topic at hand. Toronto being the GC winner and, with Hamilton being the least in the east, these teams will likely change- they should be more productive in 2013.It appears the TiCats defense will be improved. Will the Als ,at most, get into a semi final game in 2013 and, will there be improvements in Toronto's 2012s manpower? Could be a tough season!

Richard really should be getting paid by cfl.ca. Nice work, friend.

Thanks,my friend.

Hoping that we will be happy with the Als choices for coaches.

Have a nice day.

Richard

Nice work Richard.

Minor point, but Jon Hameister-Ries who, when healthy, is B.C.'s best Guard, is expected back. Has to clear his medical but Wally expecting him back according to media reports.

There is no incentive for teams to keep veteran players, and some cases (e.g. Avon Cobourne), high salaries discourage player retention, given that younger, less expensive players often can provide similar capabilities. And while fans may not like losing some of their favourite players, most of us don't stop supporting our teams because of it, so the owners aren't hurt as a result.

As for Hamilton's moves, I don't have much of a problem with them. Most of the veterans they released or traded were on the defence. Need I say more?
