Canadian Fullback + Canadian Safety = 2 huge American hogs on the o-line
I suggest we concentrate on building a line and finding some receivers so Printers does not skip town and find safer work as a rodeo clown.

I agree. Dyakowski, Hudson, and maybe Hage (sp?) could stay but the others are second stringers at best. There must be some NFL cuts that could be lured up here.
I thought the defence played well. They still need a hard hitting safety that can scare receivers from going across the middle, like Hitchcock used to do. Then, move Cody back to halfback where he belongs. I miss the big hits he used to land as a run stuffer.
But O-line is the first and most pressing issue.
Anthony Davis made a number of blocking assignment mistakes that I saw last night. Tom Canada had Dyakowski for lunch on one such error.
Dyakowski will be a force at tackle in this league, I believe.
Woodard? Davis? That train has left the station for me. I want to see Cavka and whoever else is brought in. The primary objective between now and opening of 2008 training camp for the Tiger-Cats is to find a shutdown left tackle to protect the 1.6 Million Dollar Man for say, five years.
If we don't, we may not be able to rebuild him at a certain point.
I agree that Gagne-Marcoux, Hage, and a healthy Hudson could form a solid interior of our line. It will take time for them to get it together.
It is our tackle play (and pass protection by RBs to protect pressure from the edge) that is killing us. Without a modicum of protection, with the lack of efficiency of our receiving corps to get open consistently, no QB can be successful enough to win here unless Jesse runs lights out.
Oski Wee Wee,
Makes me wonder who in the name green apples evaluated some of these stiffs - Knock - Knock - who's there? Dwayne. Dwayne who? Dwanyne the tub the Tiger Cats are drowing in stupidity.
