Cauz: Als' defence clamps down with second half heroics

Has everyone come down from what we saw on Sunday night yet?

Let me offer sincere apologies to Winnipeg Blue Bombers fans, but the 110th Grey Cup was as good as it gets with the Montreal Alouettes’ 28-24 victory.

Montreal scoring 4 offensive touchdowns in one game is unheard of. I think earlier in the season it took a whole month for them to score 4 offensive touchdowns but the team kept believing in themselves. Coaching staff just kept working and the GM pulled off some mid-season wizardry and a championship team was created. Congratulations to all the Alouette organization.

It shouldn’t be overlooked that the Als were the hottest team coming into the Cup down the stretch as the Argos were last year. I saw the game on tape later & the half time show. Green Day was outstanding. Props to getting them as the half time act.
