Cats Leadership!! (an oxymoron in the past!)

Very good article by Radley in the Spec about the Cats new 'leadership council'. This seems like a very well thought out idea. Especially the fact that the leaders can speak to any coach about anything during the council meetings.

Also nice to see people speaking up in the locker room.

Something we haven't seen in the past. Another indication that, while we may only be an average team, it's all coming together and things are moving in the right direction.

If Marshall had done something similar he might still be here.

Not unlike the well-publicized version established by NY Giant heaad coach Tom Coughlin last year, although I believe he has Giant alums like Lawrence Taylor liaise with his current roster members on his council. Targeting key personnel to take leadership roles in the locker room is crucial, whether done in a formal or informal manner. It fosters the kind of accountability required to win consistently at the pro level.
