Calvillo

TSN is reporting:

The Als have claimed rookie receiver Brad Smith, son of team president Larry Smith, off waivers from Toronto. Smith must be placed on the Als' 46-man roster. Linebacker Diamond Ferri has been hospitalized with a pancreatic problem and will be placed on the disabled list. Running-back Jamel White has returned home because of personal issues and will be suspended.

Anthony Calvillo, sidelined indefinitely with a torn rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder, actually threw some light passes yesterday, leading to speculation he'll start Sept. 23, when Edmonton plays at Molson Stadium.

Safety Etienne Boulay was on crutches yesterday, advised not to put any weight on his right foot. He has a high foot sprain, although there's no tear. He won't play Friday at Edmonton and probably will be replaced by Matthieu Proulx.

Slotback Ben Cahoon didn't practise yesterday but was on the field. He remains questionable with soft-tissue damage to his ribs. Guard Paul Lambert, nursing a knee injury, practised with the reserves. He said the knee remains sore, but wants to test it more today. - Montreal Gazette

Geez that would be quick recovery.

That's speculation.

However, if Brady can continue to play as well as he did this past Sunday, I'm sure Jim Popp will tell Calvillo to take his time.

I agree. If Marcus can continue to play the way he did against BC, why rush AC back?

That’s unfortunate that Sir AC is planning on starting against Edmonton next week. I have enjoyed watching him as offensive coach, and I pray for him playing with an injury. We will need him more a month from now when Lord Marcus is limping.

This man is not only a great QB, but also a pillar in our community! He brings so much more to the table that a good arm. How much longer must we send this good Christian out to face lions? (No pun)[/b][/i]

It’s not just the Lions who have had their way with the Als O-Line.
