Scheduled for 9am MST/11 am EST so we don’t have to wait long
Grey Cup 2026 there? I can’t see it being a new/renovated stadium announcement… would love to be mistaken

I’m not mistaken. Grey Cup 2026 is coming to Calgary.
Didn’t see this coming
CALGARY — The Canadian Football League on Friday announced that the Calgary Stampeders will host the 113th Grey Cup at McMahon Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026.
That’s surprising considering the stadiums shape.
It would be better if the city through ownership announce a stadium plan and keeping Miss Jyoti Gondek away from negotiations
Yes especially after Randy suggested last time that Calgary wouldn’t get another Grey Cup until the stadium situation was rectified. Guess we could add that to the growing list of tall tales hyperbole and exaggerations from the Commissioner
I guess public money spent on the BMO Centre expansion swayed them enough lol.
Not saving the best for last here.
Hoping to ensure a neutral site Grey Cup
That would make three straight years for western Grey Cups. Surprised that Ottawa didn’t bid again. Maybe Montreal in 2027 if The Big O is ready.
While the stadium is in rough shape the city of Calgary did a nice job hosting in 2019.
Will the new arena be ready by then? Perhaps they can use that for a six on six GC?
What is matter with CFL to host your Championship Game in the biggest DUMP in the League you need to have your heads examined. Ambrosie parting gift shame on you. please Reply
The arena won’t be ready until fall 2027.
An arena flag game would be interesting. Maybe for a youth competition for future events
Ah. Fairly sure that they’ve been fighting over money for that thing since before Mosiac was built. Lots of mullah in that town but nobody wants to spend it
I think it’s a great idea , spread it around, the can spruce up the stadium for the game and make some cash for the franchise. They have a great set up for football. And always a fun week of events, 5 star……. Maybe some paint too.
What next
2027 in Regina
2028 in Edmonton
2029 in Halifax
They are spending $850 MILLION on the roof, I don’t think there will be any money left over for field turf and goal posts.
That stadium is a total dump and worst in the league
Stayed downtown so I could attend the festivities
What a mistake that was getting to the stadium and after the game back to the city
We waited 2 hours to catch a train
The lineup was backed up over the bridge after the game
Last Grey Cup I went there I arrived an hour and a half before the game started and arrived in my seat just as the anthem started
Didn’t leave my seat the whole game for fear of getting stuck in the concourse for a hour going to the washroom and getting a cold hotdog
Nice decision NOT
Stadium has great sight lines, but that’s about it. I am like you, I despise venturing in to the concourse for fear of missing the game.
Next time…. Just pay for an Uber, don’t wait for the train.
And unfortunately the team has become a reflection of the stadium
So sad
I think it’s a great location though all may not agree. Loved getting off the LRT and the short walk in (LRT parking can be an issue however). Was good with the seats as far a the view goes and never had a problem with the fans there. Just never found the experience all that terrible in any visit.
Didn’t see this coming.
Hopefully, the money they get from the gov. + the extra revenue from the festivities will be enough to make some much-needed repairs to the stadium.
