In any case, on a semi-related note, I want to say how happy I am that Trestman and Burke did exactly what we wanted them to do in the offseason: retool the defensive schemes to play more aggressive man coverage. Gone are the days of 24/7 pillow-soft zones. Our DBs actually make plays on the ball now, instead of just tackling the ball-carrier.
I also want to give Mike Sinclair credit for his work coaching the D-line. While he has excellent personnel to work with, I don't think he gets enough recognition for the sound technique of our linemen up front. Despite not having a group of 300-pound bruisers -- Wilson is the biggest of the bunch -- we're still able to pressure opposing QBs and force incompletions and sacks.

I think there is a tremendous dislike between these two organisations going back to Jim Barker moving to Calgary and this seeps all the way to the press. There has been things on both sides that have built this up to what it is today. I suspect it will stay like this as long as both teams are at the top of the heap and competiting directly with each other.

hey no problem lol nothing makes me more mad than things like this getting blown out of perspective. it seems everyone is looking so hard to make the other organization out to be a monster that we tend to read to far into things and go searching for any little detail we can. its really sad, how split this country is...theres the east and west. lol and its so hazy as to where the line is lol. but we need to be more unified in my honest opinion, but especially in football, its only a game when it comes down to it
Browner the best DB! If you consider grabbing people and getting away with it a Good DB then he is the best in the NFL and CFL! He is a good DB,but to say he is the best, is a bit of a far cry! I mean he is no Bo Smith sarcasm
I don't like that he gets away with grabbing as much, but it seems the Als learned from the GC last year and are now doing the same, since the refs do let it go, i think one crew calls it, but pretty much all the other don't.
Things get taken out of context in message boards. I was trying to state that jakob7 was on a roll by sticking to the topic of football through out his post, until that last non-topic comment at the very end. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, as long as you stick to the topic matter. I mean no disrespect anyone. Funny thing....only once a year at Grey cup time do we all get together with our various team jerseys and celebrate our love for football. i never said he was the best i only said i think he is better than both dbs on montreal. if he was on any of your teams you would be stoked about his physical play and his ability to play the press on receivers which throws off the timing of the routes and is perfectly legal, what about your team. i have never complained about bruce grabbing dbs and pushing off to gain seperation which is technically illegal but never seems to get called. if you want to watch touch football than i guess thats your opinion but the cfl is contact football and the bump and run pass defense is obviously effective. as calgary used to run it but now montreal has taken that from them and used it perfectly to beat us lol

Racism is not just about skin color, when you state that everyone wishes WE seperate and that nothing is ever good enough for the FRENCH, you are putting a people into one group that, apparently the rest of the country does not like. You are entitled to your your opinions, but declaring such a thing on the MONTREAL's FORUM or any public forum for that mather is considered racism (or francophobia if you prefer), now this is all I have to say about this as this forum should be about football... you know... a game.
