Blocked punt leads to Rider TD!

But McCallum missed the convert.

34-31 Stamps with about seven minutes left in 4th quarter.

A blocked punt for a TD by SK, with a missed convert by McCallum, leads to a 3-point lead for CAL...

An INT on a screen pass?!? BLM really screwed the pooch on THAT one...

BLM throws INT, Riders close to FG range.

We are likely in for an entertaining finish.

Another turn of events? Fumble recovered for TD?

Or will this be ruled incomplete pass? Command centre reviewing it now. It's close.

Ruled incomplete. It looks like that was the right call. Riders punt.

Walter and the Calgary offence doing a good job taking time of the clock.

Just in from being out earlier in the evening. Have the PVR going on the game but watching the tail end of it any way. Looks like its been a tight match. Within the first few plays I saw an interception by Mitchell. Looks like the greenie defense is getting on track a bit.

But late hit on Brackenridge made it 2nd and 24.

Next play: handed to Walter, Brackenridge trips Walter for 10 yard penalty.

2nd and 14 with 46 seconds left: handed to Walter again for FD!

Final score: 34-31 Stamps.

The Stamps are running the ball down the Riders’ throats at crunch time. 34-31 Calgary as this winds down. Saskatchewan is now 0-8.

Oski Wee Wee,

It was quite an entertaining one.

I suppose you just saw that highlight of Rogers catching that deep pass at the end of the first half in triple coverage for the TD.

And that happened after a missed 65 yard FG attempt (with the wind, but still a questionable call) was returned to the Calgary 40, then Brown was clotheslined for 15 yard penalty and ejection.

And as the Riders just by only three points, these questions may have to be asked: What if they punted instead of attempting a 65 yard FG? What if it were not for that clothesline? Would the Riders still be winless?

Did see the highlight you mention and with the game recorded will take time to watch all of it sometime tomorrow hopefully. Heard the comments by the TSN panel too about some of the ways the Greenies found to lose another close game.

Actually, it was a 25-yard penalty.

And so that makes it even less likely that Calgary would have got the TD on that next play that ended the half if it were not for that Randy Richards penalty. The Stamps made Richards and the Riders pay for that.
