CFL is finally back after what seems like forever but is probably just an illusion caused by everything else to watch sports wise in October, which I have always thought of as the best sports month of the year.
Tonight’s game has meaning for both teams, especially for Calgary whose playoff lives might very well depend on it. They should come out with great intensity one would expect but BC should be playing all out as well. I don’t think BC seriously expects to finish first but they have a bye next week and there would be no reason for them to let up before the playoffs. Like most in the pool I have predicted a BC win.
At the very least as always I hope it is a good game.
How good a game it is, will depend on how well Calgary plays. I can’t say that I’ve been impressed at all with Calgary this year but I know I’ve missed a couple of games. I just caught the tail end of last week’s game - but then they were playing the Riders who really haven’t scared anyone since Labour Day.
Looking at BC’s depth chart they plan to keep their foot on the gas in this one.
Calgary’s defence has been good. They have given the ball to their offence more times than any other defence in the league. Unfortunately its because their offence goes 2 and out way too often.
I agree. But I think Calgary has tried to make him fit their offence rather than building and offence that fits him.
I agree with the commentators on that last play. Maier could have and probably should have had the first down on that run. His hesitation or whatever what he was doing there cost them. Calgary up 3-0 but three big mistakes and possible 4 points left on the field there.
Bad overthrow by Adams gives Calgary an easy pick and excellent field position inside the BC 20. If Calgary is serious about winning this game they need more than field goals when given great opportunities like this.
