Interesting.... no idea how good (or bad) this will end up being...
4-0 or 0-4 for me lol
Saskatchewan over Montreal (I hate relegating Als 0-3 at home but Riders are a much better team)
Winnipeg over Hamilton (I hate relegating Cats 0-3 but can't see winning on road)
Calgary over Edmonton is the only easy pick this week
Toronto over BC (still not sure if Lions are for real after burying Elks or just had an easy game)
Sask. at Montreal - Thursday 7:30 pm EDT
Hamilton at Winnipeg - Friday 8:30 pm EDT
Edmonton at Calgary - Saturday 7:00 pm EDT
Toronto at BC - Saturday 10:00 pm EDT
Can anyone explain to me what the aggregate is? I see people with the same win/loss records with different aggregate numbers. This is my first year participating so no clue.
Points for minus points against as it applies to soccer (as an example):
/ˌæɡ.rə.ɡət ˈskɔːr/ in football, the combined number of goals scored by two teams over two or more games : Man Utd won the first leg 1-0 and Liverpool won the second 3-1, so the aggregate score was 3-2 to Liverpool.
So if I understand you correctly it’s essentially +/- on points. For example, when BC won 59-15 that would be a +44 for anyone who picked them? Is that correct? That would explain Granny’s low aggregate as she picked Edmonton over BC and therefore racks up a -44. I also assume that the aggregate is kept in case a tiebreaker is needed or is there another purpose?
Think we need to hear from Abbey, but that’s starting to make sense. If I had the motivation I’d try to figure it out for myself, but right now I’m stuffed to the rafters with spaghetti & need a nap.
Last time I looked Jon the two of you were tied at 7-1 but your aggregate of +81 puts you ahead of Grannybomberfan’s -1. At the end of the BC / Toronto match one of you will be clearly ahead of the other and the aggregate won’t matter.
A couple people (myself included) have winning records but horribly low aggregates
I thought it would have been a much closer game (lol) even if the Lions won
Crazy alright. We’re both 5-3 but I have 112 more points than you. It’s not how you pick them it’s… umm … I don’t know. But I now know how to figure out the aggregate at least.
